A Sound Survey of the Bible

I have been reflecting on sound and the bible for the last few years, fascinated by its rhythms, by the tones its readers use and by its owns cries and sighs. So I’ve started doing an idiosyncratic survey of the bible through sound. Sometimes its the rhythm of the words. Sometimes it’s about the characters crying out. Or God listening. Or it could be a reflection through the amorphous nature of sound itself. This process has re-sounded the texts back to me in a fresh way. It might do this for you or it might not. But I hope it gives you a possibility that you can approach these astonishing texts with creativity and grace, allowing the words to enter your flesh and settle there just as the Word was made flesh and made his dwelling amongst us.
