This is a recording of Daub doing some embroidery on paper. I had previously done one of her drawing. I think it’s good to know what a visual artist sounds like. It earths the artist away from the sheer abstractness that we sometimes associate with them and we can hear that they have bodies and they’re interacting with their materials. Of course these sounds are subtle especially if one does computer art but nevertheless there is still sound. The initial bit is original recording and then two treated versions slowly appear alongside making it a kind of harmonised embroidery.
