Scratch 18 The Vuvuzela protest call

Once in a while I go for a long walk. I don’t like walking the countryside too much. I like looking and hearing towns and cities and people. Today I walked from Lambeth Bridge to Wandsworth bridge. Along the way I walked past 100s of protestors who were going for the anti cuts march in London. Many had come as families travelling a long way. There were quite a few with children. There was a certain festive atmosphere with flags and vuvuzelas. I captured a little bit of what it sounded like and mixed it a bit. The one sound I didn’t catch were the various trucks and vans who drove by honking in sympathy. Since I was walking along the river the Vuvuzelas resonated across the banks and the reverb you hear is of the reflections off the banks.
